Yes! We offer pick up direct from the cruise ship berth. Please ensure you enter the name of your ship in the pop-up field when booking and we will provide more details.
Note: Currently for the 2026/2027 we are still awaiting confirmation that port pick ups will continue to be available for private tour operators, which may be advised on your initial booking response. Once we have had confirmation of the designated pick up location we will advise all of our booked customers.

For all tours, absolutely. We have certain stops but if you need a stop just advise the guide and you will be looked after.

Yes, except on our Wine Tours. Infants 0-2 years are free of charge, but please note we do not provide infant or child seats for any age.

Any hotel in the Central Business District area of Wellington city, the Wellington i-Site bus top in Wakefield St, or designated cruise ship pick up location if you arrive in Wellington on a cruise ship.

Cancellations 72 hours before the day of the tour will be fully refundable. 48 hours before the day of the tour will be 50% refundable. Any cancellation less than 24 tours before the tour day will not be refundable.
Please note that if you have booked through Trip Adviser/Viator you must cancel through them, as they hold your money until the tour has been completed.

The Wellington Half and Full Day tours are suitable for all fitness levels, with short walks at sightseeing stops.

Our Half Day Tour is approximately 3.5 hours. Our Full Day Tour is approximately 6.5 to 7 hours.

The cost of a cable car ticket is included in both the Half and Full Day Wellington tours, as well as lots of stops for photo opportunities. The Full Day tour also includes the entrance fee for Old St Pauls.

Our Half Day Wellington Tour will make stops at the Mt Victoria Lookout, Wellington sign, Weta Workshop, War Memorial area, Cable Car, Lady Norwood Rose Garden, Parliament and St Paul’s (entrance fee is not included in our ticket price). We drive around Oriental Bay, Wellington’s rugged South Coast, past Te Papa and the inner city.
Our Full day Wellington Tour includes all the Half Day stops, as well as Otari-Wilton Bush, Brooklyn Wind Turbine and includes approximately an hour’s stop for lunch at a popular café (lunch cost not included in our ticket price).

Your guide will possibly be collecting passengers also on your tour from other hotels or the cruise ship, and then coming to you. Our pickup times will be staggered, but not all customers are waiting on time. If our guide is running late someone will try to ring you and let you know how far away the vehicle is. Usually it’s less then 10 minutes, but if longer or no-one has rung you, please call Richard on +64 21 248 03604.

Steady on your feet fitness is required for both our Half and Full Day LOTR tours. Not suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter. The Outer Shire site requires walking down a hill slope for approximately 150 metres then back up. Some ground is slightly uneven. Our van will be onsite if anyone chooses not to do the Outer Shire. All other tour sites are more easily accessible.

We visit the most locations and at those locations the most sites. We have also purchased the rights to photos directly from the Tolkein Society showing what actually happened at the sites during actual filming. This brings the sites to life and you will also see some of the tricks of the trade for special effects.

Cruise ship crew will tell you that Wellington is a working port and that you must catch a shuttle into the city. It is a working port, but our guides will meet you at the ship and guide you to your vehicle. Do not catch any shuttles.

We will know your ship is late, and our tours will begin 45 minutes after you have berthed.

We will know your ship is late disembarking, and we will wait for our passengers, unless there are only 1 or 2 left who are very much delayed.

If your ship is berthing on time, but you are running late please call us on +64 21 248 3604. We do not wait for more than 10 minutes if all our other passengers are in the vehicle.
